Abbreviations list
Is there anywhere on the Forum where you can find out what the Abbreviations mean on the site?
When I first started using the site I found it a PITA when reading threads and not knowing what things meant Also people may not want to ask what it means in case you get smart answers like " use Google its a wonderful thing". Yes you can use Google but it does not always give you the right answer! Things like CA-4 is four countries in Central America, but which 4? Also PP or PPT means Passport etc. etc Yes I know the list could get endless, but even the most common ones would be good Just a thought :thumbup1: :D |
Good point Wayne.. I'm often scatching various orifices trying to fathem out what the abbreviations meant as well!
A few years back I was stopped by police for small number plate and under the reg number was DILLIGAF written in small print. The policeman asked me if I knew what it meant and I said it was a small village in wales :innocent: He asked me if I was taking the piiss:nono: Well I didnt think he would know the meaning did I.. doh :stupid: Luckily he had a sense of humour and after lots of grovelling he let me off with a caution and told me to replace it  |
what the hell does DILLIGAF mean:(
|
Does it look like i give a f**k

I'd rather not use the abbreviation ... There are some that are more universal e.g. RTFM has been seen in a German newspaper - together with a full expansion of it.

in the military if you order an BFA you could get either: 1. Blank Firing Attachment. the yellow bit that bolts on the end of the rifle barrel to dissipate the bits of crap when using blanks 2. BattleField Ambulance I would suggest it's important to get the right one! |

Yeah but they all must mean something on here would that be a BFA for a SA80, GPMG, LMG or 50Cal?? are you saying your firing blanks??!! |
ATG - a tutto gas (or in English, keep it pinned, full throttle etc)
