Advise please: missing pillion peg hangers BMW F800GS
 

Hi folks.

I'm after some advice. And maybe someone to measure their F800GS for me.

Problem:

• The BMW F800GS (2012) I just bought has had the pillion peg hangers cut of the subframe.
• I need to install some pillion pegs for my mum (yes, really - 65yrs old and she's coming to South America with me)
• I need a forward attachment for the Hep and Beck racks I just bought, which normally attach to the (missing) pillion peg hangers

What I'm thinking...
I will probably end up getting someone locally to fabricate and weld on a replacement. Unless y'all have any other suggestions?

What I will need...
I would really appreciate a sketch with some measurements of the hangers so I can someone here (Tasmania) to fab and weld on some replacements. Unless someone has a better idea!

Maybe try to get hold of another F800, get it over to your fabricator for "eyes on" assessment ... or at least make good measurements and photos.

With H/B racks and boxes in hand a good fabricator/welder could probably make it work but would be nice to consult BMW's original design ... in person ... before you try to make it better.

Perhaps take the opportunity to "custom" fit those pegs to suit your Mom? Now is the time to do that ... as you don't have to follow exact F800 template. Many pillion pegs are set up too high or are too far forward or too far back.
