Hi Guys.
I am planning a motorbike trip from Cape Town to Berlin to Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer. my route will be South Africa, Namibia , Zambia , Malawi , Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia , Sudan , Egypt , Turkey and then into Europe.

Want to Start May 2016.

For Egypt, I suggest you contact the Alexandria Scooter Riders Club (ASRC). They're a great group of motorcycle and scooter riders who can give you a lot of valuable information about riding in the Land of the Pharaohs.

I met them while riding in the 2013 Cross Egypt Challenge during which I rode with a pink ribbon on my shirt in support of a friend and her husband back in NZ who were dealing with her going through breast cancer treatment. The ribbon made for a great discussion starter.

Ethiopia is being difficult again. Latest news is that Ethiopian embassy (see Dragonlady elsewhere on the Hubb) in Nairobi will only issue visa to Kenian residents. All others are sent away. Kampala embassy same story. People now seem to have to mail their passports back home and have friends/family get visa, then mail passport back to Africa.

If Saudi is an option for you, we got the visa in Khartoum within one day.

Don't bother with European insurance anywhere, get a Comesa in Bots.
