Do Good As You Go - CONTACT Info?
My wife and I are planning a Pan American trip and want to do some volunteering along the way. We have tried to contact Do Good As You Go on 4 separate occasions...to four separate email address that we found by poking around the HUBB...but, have not received a response.
Does anyone know of a current contact or if, in fact, it is still operational? Much appreciated, Mike |
Sorry can't help, but am happy to see another nutmegger headed out into the world. I'm from Trumbull...and oh God do I miss Colony Grill.

Bad experience with Muskoka Foundation-DO GOOD AS YOU GO
I wouldnt describe them as a scam BUT I have first hand BAD experience.
They send me to "assess" and volunteer in an orphanage in Zimbabwe in 2013. I stayed there for 2 months and I LOVED IT. One of the highlights of my RTW trip. Then I sent them back all the material. After 4 years, the orphanage was still pending in their list of partnering organizations but they used my material (my photos) to promote their great job in Africa! But, in 4 years time, they were not able enough to establish a proper connection with the guys at the orphanage and make them available for other travellers to go and experience. They claimed that the communication was bad (bad internet etc). I still talk with the guy in charge in the orphanage with all possible ways like whatsapp, email and FB. This is my experience with Muskoka and I am really sorry that they havent managed to deliver in my case ;-( |

Sadly, I am getting the impression that it is not a well-functioning organization. Do you know of any other organizations that have a similar mission. In our case, we will traveling in Central and South America. |
I am not sure to be honest and I dont want to reply with "if" & "what if".
But, you could ask this FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/panamtravelers/ It has more than 12K members. Some of them might know or actually took part in a philanthropic mission. |
