I have unfortunately left Budapest without my loyal DRZ but thankfully due to the exposure I received, Honda Hungary offered to loan me a bike to continue to London. So I will cross the finish line there in about two weeks to end the trip.
I still hope to eventually get my bike back, not because it's particularly special or expensive (it isn't), but because it's mine and we've been through a lot together. The offers for help I've received from the community have been overwhelming, and I can't thank everyone enough. I really appreciate that people have offered to start a bike fund too, but there are plenty more charities more deserving than me! All the same, it means alot. I'm heading to the Germany Autmn HUBB tomorrow so hopefully I will get to see some of you there, and if not, thanks again and happy riding! |

Good to read this, even you did not get your bike back. Enjoy the rest of your trip mika from Finland |
I'm with you, mate, I really hope that this bad story will have a happy ending.
But I see you are strong and determined and this is great, if that happened to me I would have taken the first plane and got back home with much anger that would be of no use... |

Hope you got home safe Tim. Did you receive any more info about your DRZ in the end?
Cheers Steve |
Still no news. I suspect it's long gone by this point.
However, I did finish my trip in London in November using Hondas loan NC750X. I'm backpacking around the EU now sans bike, but i'll be in the market for a new one when I get back home for the next adventure. Tim |
Shit thats a night mare having your bike stolen.
