Green card ....HOW ???
Hi all and hopefully many thanks in advance for any replies ...
OK here goes , i'm travelling down to Croatia on the bike and will be heading into Bosnia , Albania , Montenegro , Macedonia . Am going to do these four in hopefully about 2 weeks max. I have EU insurance with my normal insurance company BUT what I can't get is a green card to cover me for those four above .. Does anyone know where or IF I can get a green card and how much ...approx. ? I know you can get insurance at SOME boarder crossings but it's not all and as i'm riding a ktm 690 enduro I plan on doing some off road riding while there so not sure which boarder i'll try to cross at. Any help would be very much appreciated .... Thanks |
I presume from you username you are from the UK and you can get insurance at the border for all countries not covered by your UK insurance, it varies from about 15 to 50 Euros for a month, I seem to remember Kosovo was the most expensive in that area.
A tip if you plan to visit Serbia and Kosovo, go to Serbia first as once you have a Kosovan stamp in your passport they won't let you into Serbia with it. |
Croatia issues local insurance at all borders. When I entered from Hungary the customs officers pointed me to the relevant building and it was all sorted in about 5 minutes - very straight forward, relatively cheap, and easy.

Mafia?
When dealing with the establishment - many years in the bureaucracy dulls the senses, the more years, the duller.
So, having a screen name- yes - companies are checking your social media posts, - with the word mafia attached might not be helpful. Not because your are doing anything wrong, but because those vested with approving or disapproving coverage might be dullards. Just a thought. xfiltrate |
