Hello everyone, I have just book DAS, any advise?
Hiya I have just booked my test with camrider hopefully I'll pass :smartass: with your help in mid march.
Just wondered if anyone had any advise to give me?:taz: |
Enjoy it, relax and listen to your instructor. I had never even touched a bike when I did my DAS and it was fantastic fun. If your road awareness is good in a car it should be a doddle.

Relax is the most important bit! Before I did the U-turn, I was obsessing about getting it wrong and, because I wasn't concentrating, dropped the bike - an automatic fail :innocent:
Listen and enjoy! |
Here's the advise I got: ADVrider
Good luck! D'oh! Gotta be an inmate to see it as it's in Jo Momma. |
Take with you a packet of biccies and get to know the instructers. They (should) be an excellent source of advice, tips, cheap riding kit and may even know of a good bike for sale for when you pass. The more you show them that you're keen, the more they'll teach you - it's bloody easy to pass the test and be a crap rider, but a good instructor will actually teach you something about 'real world' riding. At least that was my experience (though I'm still a crap rider).
I loved it and sometimes I wish I could do it all over again! Good luck. Oh yeah: you can improve your balance for the U turn by practicing with a push bike. You may look a bit daft wearing all your gear though! |
