Helmet Speakers
Greetings. Looking for recommendations for blue tooth helmet speakers. I do NOT want a comm system - I'm riding alone. The main reason for the speakers is for GPS use. Very handy at times, but even this I don't plan on using all the time. Great adventures await those who get lost!
Will be on the road a long time, so maybe for other things. I bought a cheap pair off of Amazon, and they are actually not bad - but not good enough. May keep them as a back up. If anybody out there has a pair of these they'd recommend, let me know. Thanks. |
Cardo JBL 45mm or whatever size fits your helmet. They have a regular 3.5mm plug so you can use an extension lead to plug them right into your GPS, if it has a headphone jack, and never have to worry about batteries.
If you do want an actual Bluetooth system, then Cardo Spirit HD. Rode with it all last year, does a fine job as a single-rider system to connect to my phone. I am sure the equivalent Sena is also perfectly fine. EDIT: Oh yeah - don't underestimate the advantage of voice control, even if you are riding alone. Skipping tracks, navigating to the nearest gas station, etc. - all done in your helmet, hands-off. |

They'll have to be Blue Tooth as my GPS only supports that. No jack. Thanks, taking a look at your suggestions right now. |
I use a 1Mii bluetooth dongle with a speaker/headphone set. I think all in it cost me $40 (the speaker price is higher in the link, but you can find allot of alternates).
I use a Shoei Neotec II and stuffed the Bluetooth into the battery holder at the back of the helmet designed for a sena system. I also added a magnet charging plug so its dead simple to charge. Battery life is 10hr+ https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 + https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 + https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 |
