Hi everybody - and a first question
Hi everybody,
Glad I joined today Horizons Unlimited...so much interesting stuff at first glance. A first question. I have lived for seven and half year in Armenia and I am now back to France. Upon arriving I have discovered that my motorbike license is not accepted by French authorities, save the first year of moving in, and they won't (as for many ex-soviet countries) exchange it for a French license. I guess I have to pass the tests again in France and this is what I am already preparing myself to do. But if anyone has another idea of what to do with it, please let me know. In the meantime my salutations to all - I am looking forward to meeting nice people who share my passion. Best, Christian |
Hi Christian,
Welcome to the HUBB :) Unless you have proof of previously passing the motorcycle test in France or another country with a reciprocal arrangement with France then you will probably have to do your test again. I had to do re take my motorcycle test when I moved to Canada after riding in Europe for over 20 years, once the examiner realised that I could ride ok the test lasted about 7 minutes! Good Luck! |
Dear Grif,
Thank you for your reply. This is what I have figured. Well I guess what needs to be done, has to be done. So I shall take the test again. All the best to you and enjoy the next ride, Christian |

Բարեւ, It would be interesting to read any ride reports you may have of travels in Armenia. I visited the country, all too briefly, last year. Wonderful place, shame about the police!
