How much time do you spend on here ?
Just an observation, but there are some members who are on the site a lot , and i was wondering how much time they spend riding there bikes ?....................no names of course !:scooter::scooter::scooter::scooter:

I visit at least a couple of times a day but then I am retired and cannot go very far at the moment, I do incidently ride at least a bicycle every day and a motorcycle a couple of times a week. I also spend longer than is healthy watching the shenanigans that go on in the politics section of advrider which is a great lesson in why we do not want a politics section here.

I come on here probably twice a day as well, spend too much time here but as I am my own boss I let it slide :D. I have tried the Facebook page, and remain signed up to it, but I can't really be bothered with Facebook generally and the amount of chaff and waffle that comes with it. As far as riding is concerned I try to get the bike out every couple of days when the weather is decent and dry (inadequate weather protection currently - a situation that is about to be dealt with this weekend I hope) so more in summer than spring and autumn and even less in winter. I know that the bike comes with mudguards so all weather is decent but I can pick my times nowadays to suit - the waterproofs will mean that I am happy to expand the days I ride to include those with showers. |
Ride when is sunny and google when it rains ! :rain::rain:

Facebook does have the attraction though of being much more in real time. I posted a question there about the additional covid requirements to get back into the UK (I was in France at the time) and got an answer quickly but for casual browsing there's an awful lot more chaff than wheat. |
Sad to say I was last on here in March, and no I don't get the to ride my bikes much either! Worst of both worlds, though I am on other forums and FB pages. Mind you, I do think I need to pare them down a bit!
I did actually get a ride in today, road testing an old MZ 150 I rebuilt for a mate of mine. Carburation is not quite right, needed to keep revs up when stopped or she choked up, but it was nice to be on the road again. Even if it did rain it was fun. |
It depends a lot on the time of the year, the weather, etc. In the summer when I'm riding a lot, it's very rare for me to login - maybe once every couple of weeks I'll pop in and look at the listing of new threads. If there's anything that catches my eye (which tend to be threads around riding in Latin America or in Australia/New Zealand) I'll give them a quick look through.
In the winter and with COVID, I am here a lot more often, say once a day. Sadly, there's not as much to read as not many folks seem to be doing lengthy rides either. |
I check in once or twice a week. There isn't a huge amount of travelling going on at the moment though is there.
I ride motorcycles almost daily. If I like it or not. I'm a Motorcycle tech. It's part of my job. I rarely ride for my own pleasure these days. I did a couple of UK trips this year. Which I find quite dull really. |
Lurker...
Not terribly often...and then much more as a lurker rather than a contributor. It's great to dip in and out of to see what people are up to. At the moment, in travel terms (even before COVID19), I've been a bit sedentary. It's great to travel vicariously....I guess.
