HUBB Search Function?
 

Is there a thread search function for the HUBB, and if so, where do I find it?

Thanks! But, I thought that there was a HUBB specific search function, i.e., one that only searched threads (and maybe specific forums) rather than the while HU site.

At the top of this thread there is a blue bar which reads (left to right): link back; thread tools; search this thread; rate thread; display modes. Do what comes naturally.

Is that what you're looking for?

If you click "search this thread" you'll see a little blue link below the search box which says "advanced search." That'll search the HUBB forums, not the whole site. It's not exactly intuitive, and in fact I might have it wrong. Personally I never bother--I just use the site search box that Mark Manley points to, or I Google.

Thanks. That’s close, but not exactly it. I happened to be chatting with Grant, and he provided me with the following link: Horizons Unlimited - The HUBB - Search Forums ONLY searches the HUBB, and not well. <strong> <em> <a href="/search">Use Site Search</a></em></strong> to search everywhere.

That takes you for a generalized Search function that spans all threads. He, as you and Mark have pointed out, advises using the site search function instead. However, I was interested specifically in finding active threads related to Urals, so the link he provided does the trick.

Hope this helps others as old fashioned as I am! :laugh:
