I seem to have hit a brick wall with my plan to travel the USA for a year as no one will insure me as a non national for longer than six months. I have tried Fernet and Motorcycle Express. Fernet only do 3 months and ME 6
I suppose it may be possible to do 3 month 6 month 3 month but a lot of pissing about when i will be on the road. Anyone recommend any one.

Just renew the contract,many auto insurance companies here in the US are on a 6 months renewable contract,but be aware of that when they give you the quote.Try progressive they also have medical coverage for just a bit more.

Use Progressive.com and you can get insurance for 1 year, all you need is a US address

The rates and rules vary by state. e.g. a New Hampshire address won't work but a Maryland one will because insurance in NH can only be held by residents, Maryland doesn't care

Make sure you remove the medical coverage as you own health insurance will cover you.

We got full insurance and the top scale for under $300 for 12 months using a Maryland address
