Listing up the highest driveable passes in the world
Hi everybody,
A few months ago, we drove over the "Abra Huayraccasa", the highest driveable pass in the Andes. 5059 meter (that's what the sign there says). I would like to know wich other passes in the world are higher and/or a little bit lower, but i couldn't find a list of it on the web. Maybe we can start the list here? That way we can make a top 10 ranking and a ranking with the highest driveable pas on each continent. Wich very high passes did you drove already (or somebody you know)and how high where they? To make it easier to list it, let's use the following format: continent, country, name of the pass, altitude (MBSL). looking forward to your answers. Ils |

Khardung La at 5,359m in India (half a days drive from Leh in Ladakh: part of Jammu and Kashmir) - claimed to be the world's highest "motorable" road. Though it is actually Semo La according to Wiki :)
