Making my wife realise I am not entirely mad
Well this guy - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-australia-56438893 - has just made my life easier as SWMBO now has a new yardstick to measure unusual behaviour by.
|
When I was there I saw a chap who was walking around the whole of Australia pushing a shopping cart with all of his stuff in it, I think the sun gets to them after a while.
|
Pity he didn't do it the other way round - it's all down hill :rolleyes2:
Does he have one big strong leg and one under developed withered one? Might be sun that gets to you in Oz but it's rain here. |

He had documented everything in this little diary, punctures/tyres, sets of chains, bearings, cables everything. His plan was to write a book when he got home & the sales were to fund his next trip. Also saw a guy on a pogo stick crossing the Nullarbor many years ago. Mezo. |
Was the guy with the pogo stick pretending to be a kangaroo??
|
Was the guy with the pogo stick an ACTUAL kangaroo, and you were just off your mind on drugs/sunstroke? :D

I was on a long motorcycle ride around Aus and met a couple of German push bike riders who had just come off the boat from SE Asia. Had a bit of a chat and they said they were riding the bicycles to Adelaide. As it is over 3000km to Adelaide I made the usual suggestions about the need for food, water, sun protection and also that the road trains are prime mover plus four trailers and travel quickly. Other things such as the distance between accommodation is large and if camping stay a good distance from the road. I suggested to talk to others in the town also. I ran into them later in the day and asked how the planning was going. The answer to me was "we think we will buy car" |
