Parts??? '87 Yamaha XT600 Tenere 1VJ
I'm looking for a bit of information on how to find OEM parts for an old Tenere ('87 XT 1VJ) I found here in Nova Scotia. The bike was never sold in North America and was imported by a German rider years ago. It has gone through a few hands, been beat up a bit but still runs well. I don't want to make a show bike but I'd like to clean it up a bit, refresh the suspension and replace some plastics and fenders. It also has some big dents in the header so that may need to be replaced too. ...and decals (reproduction or OEM).
In any event, these parts are not something I will find in Canada or the US and certainly won't find in Nova Scotia. Anyone have some advice or contacts they can share about where I can find what I need?
