As I can't vote for where I live the other great places I've ridden my bike are Malawi and South Africa.

Best: Western US, France (especially if you include Corsica), Italy

Honorable Mentions: Morocco, Laos

Worst: Sri Lanka (only place I've been on a bike to which I have no interest in returning)

Best for riding is Norway - eye watering beautiful scenery around the fjords - and worst (because of disregard for road rules by vehicle operators and pedestrians) is China.

China does have some brilliant remote areas, magnificent engineering and road/bridge/tunnel construction (try the freeways through Guizhou province), and beautiful scenery though.

Austria has Great Roads, but their highway-robbery is awful.
Vignette, then add Tolls + Tolls + Tolls....

Worst : U.K.

Worst? :stormy: Any place where it has been raining for a week to make everything damp and where the visibility is so poor you can only just see the road - nothing else can be seen. May as well have staid at home.

Best ... to many types to chose from. And there are bits I'd leave out of any of them .. so no one country. And there are people I'd leave out too. Other than those bits/people .. any country I have been too has provided joy. :mchappy: Are some better than others? It is like picking the best fruit.. mangoes, passion fruit, pineapple, ... best? They are all different.
