RIP Kemal Merkit HU Member and Dakar Rider
 

I have just been told that Kemal Merkit the Turkisish Dakar rally rider who helped us out in turkey after we had our accident has been killed in a race. Totally gutted, RIP to a very very nice guy and a true Adventurer!

MY thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP

Let me correct this information.
He is my friend and I was there.
Kemal and a Dutch biker lost their lives in an accident during TransAnatolian Rally on the hills close to Cappadocia and in Turkey.
