RTW + kid = possible?
Hi guys, Gionata here.
I'd like to ask you if you know about someone that have actually attended to RTW with family. Wife + kid for example. If you know anything about it, please let me know. Thank you very much. Gionata Partireper.it: Il Portale del Viaggio Avventura |
Hi,
Yes its possible. I met a nice swiss familiy with kids who are going RTW in Kenya: Sixenroute - Un tour du monde en famille en camping-car - Accueil and a german family who did Transafrika: www.five-in-a-box.de - Startseite Greetings, Tobi |
Great stuff Tobi, thankk you very much.
Would you know if there are actual riders who have maybe left with 2 bikes and òne of them Was actually two ups with a kid on board? Thanks |
They sell a video in german motorbike shops where a dad rides with his sun through africa. Its very well made...the sun allways explains where they are and what they do from the view of a child. While riding he moastly sits on the tank. Unfortunatly i dont know the name of the DVD...

Hi,
The film i was talking about is called "Die Welt ist keine Gerade": DVD Die Welt ist keine Gerade Die Welt ist keine Gerade -- Trailer - YouTube cu, Tobi |
Years, and years ago I read this book about a Danish couple who took their children with them on an adventure (Denmark - Australia) on bikes. Two bikes, and 4 people worked out just perfect... a bit more work, but it worked.

Kids and Bikes
I met a German couple who owned a Moto Guzzi and had a homemade sidecar outfit. They were in India having got that far with their 7 year old son and were planning to go further.
They even let me and Becky borrow their son for a few day trips we did around Delhi, it helped us to blend in as no bike in India is complete without children on board.:innocent: I have vaguely heard of a couple with two kids on their bikes with them, but can't remember what nationality they were. Good luck. |
