Is SE England the worst place in the world for traffic jams
Travelling to work this morning through masses of traffic on the M25 i wondered is the south east of England the worst place in the world for traffic, nearly every morning i filter through 2-5 miles of it.......

Traffic
Cairo, Bangkok and Manila are far worse.
New York is about the same. Not been to LA for a long time but it was bad when I was there in the late 80's - can't imagine it got any better. Paris is also shite. |
been to Bangkok very recently and whilst there are traffic jams, they are no where near as long as the M25

very interesting link but they are all cities and not regions you can not move in the south east these days, oh well only two more years then im off RTW to find less populated places:scooter:

I've been to four of the 20 places on Whynot's list and I'd say Tokyo deserves it's no 1 status but London should be further up the list as the traffic problem extends a long way outside the city. NY is much the same but it doesn't seem to extend as far. Shanghai would be empty if you removed all the taxis!

It's certainly the worst for decent riding roads!

Luckily I don't travel that often on the M25 and I know you don't!, but people who do have to use it regular find that most of their lives are spent on it!! :nono: |
Hi D
I used to use it a bit, tho' not daily, when going from Bexley'eef to Oxford. It's just that folks bang on about it all the time:D:scooter: |
