Firstly - stop reading other people's ride reports / stories. They are all (even the ones I've done) works of fantasy, being at best a third generation (and usually Romanticised) copy of what actually happened. The hippy era has a lot to answer for - it used to take me ages to get the tangles out of my hair after a day on the bike :rolleyes2: There are a few pictures still in existance of me back them but thankfully they're mostly locked up under high security. Had facebook existed back in the 60's /70's there would be a lot more trauma for the medics to deal with now. :(
