UK to Tajikistan

Hi.
Has anyone, or does anyone know of anybody who has driven from the UK to Tajikistan?

I know someone who has ridden from UK to Mongolia and back, which is somewhat further. He tells some damn good stories about the trip too. I have future plans to ride from Kazakhstan (where I'm currently working) back to UK. Research suggests it's very do-able, and I won't be on a firm calendar so will have time to take in the Pamirs and the Silk Road.
