It can get a little chilly in the desert at night , especially if you a little high above sea level. I was quite surprised how cold the Negev dessert can be.

:thumbdown:I'm stuck in Flagstaff AZ, (I have been to a lot of worse places), waiting for the 40kt crosswinds and the snow and sub zero temps to go away. I voted for temperate, has this thread got no power at all?
Ride safe. |
I like everything except cold rain/sleet...
Warm rain I can handle (as long as it's warm enough to dry everything out quickly afterwards), and likewise a cold frosty dry morning - lovely! But cold and wet together, forget it... Personally I like to be able to ride with just a vest or t-shirt under my jacket, which is why I love the US western desert states so much... and Morocco. xxx |

I voted Sausages mainly because I like to ride anywhere.
But I do like to see where I'm going. So rain is OK as long as I can see the road. The cold is OK as long as my visor isn't steamed up. Riding up through low cloud is OK but I hate FOG. I'm happy to suck on my Camelbak all day in the desert but I can do without dust storms. |
