XT225 - spare parts avalability in south america
 

As the title says, I question if a Yamaha XT225 would be suitable for long distance travelling in the US, central america and south america. Because this motorcycle is not produced anymore, I question weither I can get spare parts on the road. What is your opinion about this? As an alternative I consider the Honda CRF250L, which would cost me around 1000 Dollars more.
