However, over the last 12 years living in the UK, the post office has lost so many of my parcels sent to my family (in France and Spain) that I am not sure it is worth it! That includes recorded delivery, insured etc... and I never got a penny as refund either!

Thanks, I'll see how the auction goes. Actually I've bought a whole lot of stuff over the past years from the UK (even a laptop or two) and never had problems, although I've heard from plenty of people that the royal mail isno longer quite what it used to be.
