Touratech upper faring crashbars f650gs single-uk

I am looking for a set of Touratech upper faring crashbars for my 05 f650gs.

Like the black ones in the picture.

Why?

On the ride below I had the same bike with BMW engine bars, but I had no additional protection above them (other than Barkbuster hand shields).

Over the 4 months away I dropped my bike more times than I could count, on/in every concievable surface and situation other than tarmac - there was none!
The 'tank' panels were completely untouched.

Save yourself the money, unless you like the looks.

I recently bought a BMW Sertao - and bought the engine crash bars - wondered about the upper protection bars but want to keep the weight down. Really please to hear your advice about not needing 'em!
