Wanted Tourer For NZ December 2019

Hi all,

I am travelling to NZ at the start of NZ for two years and want a reliable tourer to do some serious riding and for it to be my main mode of transport.

I've been looking at ST1100's, reliable, comfortable and plenty of storage for all my traveller bulk!

I have been looking on TradeMe, but thought I would reach out here to see if there were any recommendations.

Spec wanted here:

Under $5000
Over 600cc (Im 6ft so needs to be a comfortable)
Preferably under 120,000kms
Must have panniers
Location can be anywhere, but I fly into Auckland.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did NZ last November on our own bike. but there were plenty to buy there. We did 2 up on a Suzuki DL650 which was up to the task and more agile on some of the country roads. Worth looking at Colemans Suzuki in Auckland who hire bikes which might help in short term. Get insurance online from Kiwibike Insurance.
