Sunshade for Landcruiser??
 

Any ideas on making a sun canopy/shade for a Landcruiser? We don't have a roofrack to fix it to, but are thinking of getting roof bars. We are thinking about something which can be set up quickly from one side to provide shade for sitting, cooking, etc. We have looked at awning poles and think some sort of canvas rectangle will be OK but how to join it all together and fix to vehicle? Needs to be removable, fairly cheap and easy to put up.
Anyone done it?

Two adjustable tent poles, two corner ropes, four pegs, a tarpaulin made up with eyelets in 2 corners and rope sown into the opposite edge. Then it's just a matter of attaching some sailtrack to the side/back of your vehicle. Sometimes it's necessary to fit the sailtrack to a length of aluminium angle before fitting to your vehicle. Do a Google on Vehicle awnings and you should get the idea.
