budget workhorse sought in Kenya
hello riders!
I'm a student:smartass: , and i will do my final thesis in Kenya. (I did my internship there as well, and I loved every minute of it). I drive a light motor bike in Holland, and I'm looking to buy a very cheap and lightweight bike in Kenya. It will have to be a workhorse, maybe a light TF-125? Anyways, does anyone have an idea to buy a decent bike in Kenya for about €800, - ???:blushing: I know, it's almost impossible. But I really have to try and ask... I'm gonna stay only 3.5 months, so I could sell it when I leave right? I want to use it to travel every once in a while to a friend of mine, which is about 34 days travelling to the west. (Homa Bay to Machakos) Any hints or tips are more than welcome! OK, C U ! |
Speak to Chris at Jungle Junction
Hi Coen,
You can speak to Chris at Jungle Junction in Nairobi. His no is: +25 472 275 2865 He is a German BMW mechanic that now operates a house that accomodates overlanders. I know he sell bikes for people that left the country etc. Usually he specialise more in bigger bikes 650>. But if he cant help you he might at least be able to send you in the right direction. However I would advise you to at least opt for a 250cc. Enjoy Africa... |
