Central Asia and Caucasus
Hello everybody,
I just came back from a long and succesfull motorcycle trip from Uzbekistan to Italy one month ago. I wrote a detailed report of my trip, with all the practical info, at the following link: http://www.sahara.it/reportage/asia03/asia03.htm unfortunately for you, it's in italian, but you can try to translate it through Altavista or something similar. As soon as I have time, I'll translate it for Horizons Unlimited BB. Anyway, if you have any specific question, I'm happy to help you. Regards Pietro |
I for one would be very interested in a translated version, and look forward to it, intend travelling to Central Asia in nearish future.
For GB TV folk all this week is travel in the Stans on BBC2 23.20-24.00, started last night, Uzbeck Thursday I think. Haven't viewed it yet, but no m/c content as far as I know, just may prove useful background |
I am also planning a trip to Central Asian Rep. in April '04 and therefore anxiously waiting for the translation.

Pietro-
Looking forward to the translation as well, there isn't a whole lot of info on Central Asia out there... Dave |
Hi forum
first thanx to your report pietro, although in italian. I could have helped U with a translation from spanish to english, but italian to english?! http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif Maybe a wee bit better than altavista. Another thank to usl for the david berghof clue. Great guy. For anyone into the CA corner go to pamirs.org Great pix and good advice. A road still to ride seems to me the Kulma Pass connecting the Pamir Highway with the KKH. But the bugger blokes in Beijing block the boad (sorry road). My wife and I R organizing to get to all the ´stans this northern hemisphere summer. Infos welcome both ways. Goetz |
I am currently in Afganistan and planning to be at home by beginning of Feb.
I can e-mail you my notes about CA. around that time. Cheers, |
