It seems to me that many of you 'overlook' Guinea, it is the most fantastic country with wonderful people.

Unfortunately last night, President Conte declared martial law ... so anyone heading toward that area should keep up to date with what is happening: a good source I've found is: www.topix.net/world/guinea or in French www.guineenews.org

Of all the countries I've been to in Africa including most of the East coast, Guinea now really stands out for me; I hope it gets back to normal soon as I'm itching to go back!

Finally good news about Guinea it seems according to the BBC BBC NEWS | World | Africa | Guinea holds day of commemoration and a variety of other news sites Guinea News that Guinea has a new Prime Minister and the strike is OVER!

Fantastic; lovely to hear that things might get back to 'normality' ... just hope Conte goes soon though!
