India and Pakistan
Hi!
Anybody out there who has been on the road in the northern part of India and Pakistan during the last weeks (let's say: from mid-feb to now)? Any advice concerning: - bordercrossing India/Pak (Wagah still open for Individuals)? - pest? - riots? TIA Stef |
Stef,
Does this mean you'll be going that way? If so there's quite a little group of us going that way around the end of May. Quite a few posts on this subject over the last few weeks with regards to the border too. Supposed to be open for independent travellers. |

If so there's quite a little group of us going that way around the end of May. # I know ... :-) we mailed about that before David, and we thought about meeting on-the-road for a beer (You're coming from UK...) # Quite a few posts on this subject over the last few weeks with regards to the border too. Supposed to be open for independent travellers. # Yep, I read them. But the last witness for a bordercrossing posted last year for that thread. Besides that the pest and the riots in Gujarat occured after the last posting in that thread. Just curious... At this point I think I'll do some small tours around Delhi and then head directly to the beach(es) between Bombay and Goa. I don't know exactly where because I want to keep it slow. BTW - any ideas where to go? Stef # |
oops! Sorry Stef.. my brian is mush these days as it's only a few more weeks until I leave with so many things to do.
India.. So many things to see it's untrue. Bombay to Goa goes through the Western Ghats. Very windy road but great fun and good scenery. Look out for the monsoon times down that way as after May, Goa gets a bit washed out to say the least. |
