Indonesia... Safe?
 

Hi everyone,

I am in GeorgeTown (Malaysia) ready to go to Sumatra... but now someone told me all kind of terible story's about "white people" being atacked and obducted from there hotel.

Now... as you all know, I am stupid and naive, so I don't care much about htese stories.... but still...

Has anyone any "real" experiance (since the war started)

Well... After 2 month'sof traveling through Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Floris and Timor I can say the folowing:
IT IS SAFE.

Indonesian people are just about the nicest people in the world... Don't miss out on this amazing country.

I met oneguy who shouted "American go home"... so I walked up to him and said: "I am sorry, but I come from Holland" and the guy apologised http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif
