Morocco Camping
 

Hi Tim and all.

Im a regular traveller to Morocco, twice a year, and have always stopped at Meknes and camped in the Municipal Camping, site.
That is until last October, 2009, when I found it had been closed.
Has anyone been there since then ? and is it still closed ?

No campsite in Meknes
 

The campsite is closed for the forseeable future. I'm led to believe that the authorities shut it down for non-payment of bills. Shame as it was very convenient being in the centre of town.

Near alternativea are Diamant Vert and Camping International in Fes and another near Moulay Idris.

The one near Moulay Idris is at N34 00.922 W5 33.746 (about 16km from Meknes)

I stayed there last April, it was nice enough from what I can remember.
