Peru and Bolivia - safe?

As we plan a trip to Peru (Lima, Inka-Trails) and Bolivia (La Paz) in September this year, any news or hint regarding safety in both countries?

any particular reason why they shouldn't be safe?

just take the usual sensible precautions and you'll be fine.

enjoy. you'll be there at the best time of year.
