Riding across turkey into Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
 

Hello to all.

I'm in need of some information for a motorcycle trip I'm organising for may/June 2020.

My plan is to ride two up across Europe and Turkey then into Georgia , Armenia and Azerbaijan. I'm of the opinion I shouldn't have any issues getting into these countries but my main question is insurance.
Obviously we have insurance that covers us for Europe but once we leave Europe do we buy insurance at the borders we cross or is it best to organise our own we can show at the border..? Also, is Thier insurance mandatory ..?

Our green card covered us up until the european part of Turkey. We didn't bother with insurance for the asian part of turkey. Also didn't bother with Georgian insurance.

We did buy insurance at the Armenian border as police are lurking close to the border to top up their coffee money.

My EU insurance covers me in Turkey & Georgia, with the Green Card printed.

Bought Armenian insurance in the border, as it's mandatory to get in. There's an insurance office & bank there, ready to get your money, so it's an easy "one hour" border.
