Spanish insurance for non residents

I own a house in Spain.
If I buy a bike there can I insure it in Spain and keep it there?

Yes, you'll need a current NIE, a relevant driving license, and possibly a padrón. Linea Directa do insurance in English (including the crash paperwork you're meant to carry with you), avoid Direct Seguros.
