Having lived in Ankara for two years and riding Turkey by motorcycle 3 years ago, from what I know about the Turkish government, this might or might not be a political ploy.

The warning makes sense to me. Looks very much like there are riots in the US after supporters of the defeated party didn't accept losing the elections.

Pretty sure that if the same situation happened in another country (from the Middle East of Eastern Europe), the US would declare the same advisory warning and would be eager to invade the country in the name of "democracy", or at least tactically and financially support the opposition (not that it has never been done before ;-) )

I can definitely feel the irony. ;-)
