Visa Masai Mara Serengeti border
 

Hi all,

Does anybody know if it is possible to get the tanzanian visa at the Masai Mara Serengeti border.
We are 2 motorbikes on a Cairo to Capetown.

That border has been closed for many years. I was there about two montsh ago and confirm this first hand.

Also, I'd be very surprised if they let you through the gate of either Masai Mara or serengieti on a bike.

The road from nairobi to Arusha has a border crossing on it, and a TZ visa can be got there no problem. $50 for most people, $100 for irish and americans. No need for a photo.

I went through on the 28th Dec 2010, and then they did not ask for yellow fever certs, but I think they are now.

ditto the comment above, I dont think the national parks will allow motorcycles in.

Hi,

we went along the Masai Mara into TZ some months back on Kenya registered bikes. Its possible but not legal. You will not get your Visa stamped what might get you into trouble.
The route is beautiful but watch out for the elephants. They don't like bikes too much.
