A decent search engine

Does any one out there know of a decent (International) search engine??? I am sick of google generating its search results from a National/Commercial basis. I work in the IT industry so have more than a rough idea on how to deal with a key word search. But the other day while in Greece it took me over half an hour to find accurate address details for the Iran, Pakistan and Indian Embassies in Ankara (I would have ran out of money searching for Myanmar’s). So please if anyone knows of a good engine that is not fixed to each country (eg .co.uk, .fr etc) and is not too commercial bias please pass it on.

Thanks chris

Have you tried country specific google engines?

google.co.in is India. I'm sure searching other country based googles should bring up different results.

Just a guess though.

Ahhh you may find these a bit hard to understand if you don't read teh local language .. But then Google provides http://www.google.com/Top/Regional/Middle_East/Turkey/.. maybe if you google on 'Iran Google ' .. yep that looks to work ..
