buying an Ural or Dnjepr in Russia and drive home (Austria)

hi,
has somebody ideas how to buy and drive home a used motorbike from russia?
my plans are to buy a ural or dnjepr in irkutsk and drive it home through mongolia, kazakhstan and urkraine back to europe?

the usual questions are:
how to get license plates? (russian?)
insurance?
carnet needed?

does anybody know somebody who already did such a trip?

many thanks in advance, matthias

I live in Moscow but have not bought a bike here or in Irkutsk, but I would guess that:

--you may or may not be able to find a good bike for sale in Irkutsk at the time when you need it;
--you probably will not be able to register it in your name and would have to rely on a power of attorney from the seller
--insurance (liability) you can buy in Russia no problem
--no carnet needed.
