Those are Tire Balls.

I read about these more than a year ago. If I remember rightly, they're only really suitable for off-road riding as you can't do more than 50mph on road.

Just perfect for an Enfield :)

It was common (here anyways) for desert races to use tennis balls ... more balls = more pressure.

Or the more balls you have the faster you go.

Started by famous off road racer Scott Summers (Team Honda 4 time GNCC champ), Tire Balls are a less expensive option to Michelin Bibs. Supposedly easier to install as well.

DirtBikeStore.com Ltd Tire Balls Tire Balls

I just checked the prices........:helpsmilie:.......no wonder the desert guys used tennis balls! and if Michelin Bibs are more expensive? that kinda makes Tyres good value as the prices are about the same as a PAIR of Tyres for the Tyre balls for ONE Tyre.

Methinks maybe this would be a better option Ultraseal Tire Sealant probably lighter too!

I bought Mousses for my 400EXC in the summer, at the time they were cheaper than the Tire Balls.

As others have said, mousses are not designed for high speed, long distance tarmac riding. Watch the last episode of Borrman's Race to Dakar and you'll see either Mick Extance or Simon Pavey having a mousse disintegrating on them on a tarmac section.

I use mousses so that I don't suffer punctures whilst greenlaning etc, hence no need to carry tubes, levers, pumps etc. I keep the tarmac mileage to a minimum wherever possible.
