German translate/ euros to dollars ?

I am badly needing an electric start bottom end Yamaha XT600, but in the US they are non existent due to very low numbers of bikes. So to get one I have to get one from Europe but language and not know how the euros translate I was hoping someone here could help me with this ebay add. I can translate the description, but as far as how much he's asking, not a clue. Any help? thanks

There are tons of currency converter sites accessible via google but 199 euros = $261.47 at the moment. (Roughy 1 - 1.3). Shipping might be a biatch though ...I'd keep looking for a us or Canada source. Good luck.

Ya, I have been watching for going on 6 months now, not 1 single crank or case for an electric start one. They just did not sell many here in the US. There are dozens of kick start ones(which is what mine is now), I have to swap to electric thanks to it backfiring and tearing several tendons in my ankle(and broke the right case also), so now it flat out hurts to kick a bike over and will probably for life. And then I end up not walking for several days till it gets better. So right now it comes down to pay the price of shipping or not ride my bikes.

There are also very few complete bikes with electric start for sale(dual sport) because they didn't import very many models that actually had titles(the only way I can license one in my state). Sooooo, my only other choice is to buy a complete atv motor(Raptor 660,but liquid cooled issues). Either way $$$$$$

I need someone to contact him to find out if he'll ship to the US, I can't seem to get anywhere on the German site being English speaking and not enrolled over there.

Just view the link on your own country's version of ebay, and if language is an issue then use an online translator.

For what it's worth, english is very widely spoken in germany. Although he says that the sale is within the EU he also states that shipping costs to other countries are available upon request.

If you just ask politely in english I think there's a 90% chance the seller will answer in your language, otherwise just write in google-deutsch.

My experience with german sellers on ebay has been absolutely perfect for many years now.
