Heroes legends Dakar

Hi I don't know if any is interested but the Heroes legends Dakar starts on Saturday March 24th from the Eiffel Tower, nice to see the XT 500's and BM GS's. The site is HEROES LEGEND :: A CLASSIC RIDE TO DAKAR and as far as I am aware two British teams have entered, one being Dave Alexander on a GS and the other team, XT mounted of Dave Newman and Paul 'Milky' Knight details of the Newman /Knight teams preparations can be found at Team Digest To Dakar I am sure that we wish them all the best.

Anyone there?

Is anyone considering turning up in Paris, or indeed following this rally?

anyone know what the entry fee is

Entry fee

The details are on the heroeslegends website, too late I should think for this year to enter but you would be looking at costs of around £15.000. You could do one hell of alot of touring for that kind of wedge.

Booked???

Due to lack of time I have booked to go by Eurostar, train and 3* hotel 500m from the Tower £147, would love to have taken the bike, but being I don't leave the UK until Friday night and have to be back on Sunday night I thought I'd let the train take the strain! Also if anyone is interested, The pioneer run for pre 1914 bikes takes place this Sunday (18th) from Epsom downs,Surrey to Brighton from about 8am.
