Indonesia wet season?

I have been trying to get enough time off to ride East Timor and Indonesia for over a year and now I looks like it's going to be in December January, looking for some feed back on this, my bike is already in Darwin and i'm not committed to ship....???:rain:

I arrived few weeks ago from East Timor to Oz.
Biggest roads are usually quite good, but if you are riding in Sumatra or Java and it is raining, then stop or go really slowly. Potholes can be really deep and you have no way to tell what is there…
Had few big hits even I rode slowly. Sometimes only option is just to stop and wait rain to stop.

Indonesia is superb! I really loved the place :thumbup1::clap:

We got a lot of rain in Sumatra but the roads were generally decent, much better than I expected. Like Marko suggests if you do hit mud, be cautious or wait til it dries out. We had some but nothing truly deep & impassable. (This was in July). Have fun!
