Hy my name is andy,
im german(currently in germany) but will be in Canada (toronto by may)where i pick up my shipped bike,to travel around Canada...
Im also a´holder of the working holyday visa(valid for one year)
i was traveling across australia in 2009/2010 by suzuki dr 650"one year on the road"
Im looking for some labour jobs...to save a bit of my travel-funds :scooter:
my english is at the moment a´bit rusty ,but think after couple of days overthere it should be fine.
my occupation(trade im a´salesman diy-superstore-powertools seller)
but i have no problem with any kind of job :taz:

Best place to check for general labor work would be Kijiji or Craigslist once you are here.

I'm an Aussie currently working in Grande Prairie. LOTS of work on the oil patch up here. General labouring and is fairly easy depending on what job you choose. Search Job Bank - Home for jobs in the area you wish to live in.

This is mildly off topic so please forgive me.

I've got vague plans of getting the working holiday visa for Canada specifically to work in the oil business. It seems that there's pretty good career potential working on rigs starting off as a roustabout. It seems the industry is too slow in the North Sea these days to get a start there, so I'm eyeing up Canada as a place to go and get some experience as everyone says there's loads of demand for workers there. I'm also planning to put in some research on Australia as I believe there's more of an off-shore industry there which would be much more useful as work-experience for getting employed in the North Sea, though it's not clear how easy it is to get started out there, and whether the six-month limit per employer would be an obstacle for eventually getting promoted and/or sponsored for a proper work visa.

I'm only posting this here since the subject of oil work has come up.
