Need advise to cross border and to reach Tajikistan from Delhi
 

Greetings !!

A friend of mine who is from Germany is on a ride from Singapore to Germany. Currently he is at Delhi, seeks help to cross border and to reach Tajikistan from Delhi via road. Is there any tips that can be shared ?

Basically two options.

1) Pakistan - China - Kyrgyzstan - Tajikistan

2) Pakistan - Iran - Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan - Tajikistan

I hope your friend has a Pakistani visa as it's not available in Delhi.

To travel through China requires a pre-booked, guided tour.

Or, without Pakistani visa, join group through China from Nepa l to Mongolia, russian transit visa into Kazakhstan, Kirgistan to Tadjikistan. Long way round :D

Ah good point. I'd forgotten that they had re-opened that border. Trainsiting through Tibet however is even more expensive than China proper.

Well it is the long and expensive way round, but you will see the most :)
But Karokoram Highway is really nice though, we liked it.
