NEW Achievable Dream: The Motorcycle Adventure Travel Guide DVD series!

Are you a traveller on two wheels? Have you been thinking of an odyssey to distant climes - the markets of Marrakech, the Karakoram Highway in Pakistan, the salt flats of Bolivia, the Bungle Bungles of Australia? Did you finally fork out for that dream bike built for high adventure, and you know every highway and byway within range of an annual vacation? Is something indefinable calling you farther afield, to the next country - the next continent?
Then you want this DVD!

Susan and Grant

Really good intro/tempter. Lots of knowledgeable folks there, including people I know, know about, or hope to know.

They are all saying the same thing, but in different ways.

There are really Unlimited Horizons in a World full of adventures and friends.

"It only takes one twist of the key to start the Dream - dare you turn it?"

A Second DVD in the HU Achievable Dream series has been released!

Thanks Tony!

The "fourth" in the series has been released - "Ladies on the Loose" is now available! So that's now TWO DVD's in the series available - confused? Check it out here:

I received my Part One DVD today and just finished watching it all. It was brilliant from beginning to end. First class effort! :thumbup1:

It's incredibly useful for someone like me who's looking ahead at doing a modest ride across Spain and southern France and back up to the UK, all with a view to riding across Europe and one or two Stans the following year. I've plenty of experience camping when I was younger, but the issues you cover such as paperwork, border crossings, loading and preparing the bike, camping off the bike, preparation for offroad, etc, etc, are exactly what I need.

Watching the films mentioned in the DVD are brilliant in that they give you a feel and a taste, and document the achievements, but they don't teach you how. Congratulations and many thanks to everybody involved.

I don't expect Part Four will be much use to me (one Y chromosome too many ;)), but I can't wait until Parts Two and Three are ready to ship.

We received DVD one a month or so back; and last week received DVD four. Finished watching it last night with the wife who rides her own bike.
Fantastic work and congratulations; also had the 1st achievable dream DVD and there was tons of info there as well.
Lois, if you are listening - you have 2 huge fans on this side of the world.
Can't wait for 2 & 3.

knowledge

Having bought the original DVD, 'The Achievable Dream', some time ago we were a little reluctant to buy the new version... But we are so glad that we did: The format and presentation is very similar but there are lots more snippets of information and advice. The end of the DVD leaves you hanging on... Oh no! We just had to order 'Ladies on the Loose'! The format and presentation here are similar to the previous which works so well. Once again, some of the content is obvious and common sense, but you are sure to learn something new (and warm to Lois Pryce's charm...)

"On the Road" is now available!

The latest release is "On the Road", and we already have rave reviews!
"I received the DVD, On the Road and I think it's brilliant - thank you very much." Michael, UK

"My wife keeps shouting at me to come to bed, but am only half way through viewing Disc B of 'On The Road', having viewed all of Disc A this afternoon. I am extremely impressed with the quality and content." John, UK (time-stamped midnight!)
There's more comments on the order page, and of course you can see the Trailers, and get yours!

Grant, is it preferable to order directly from the HUBB site or through Amazon.com? I'm in the U.S. and wonder if there's an issue with paying duties, but I want to make sure you get the most money from the order.

Thanks for the thought Craig! And yes from our point of view it's MUCH better to order direct, Amazon is positively rapacious, so we make about half selling through them.

As for duty - we have only had a couple of reports of people having to pay duty, but then they're unlikely to bother telling us. So here's a special offer just for you to help us know for sure - go ahead and order from us, and if you pay duty we'll cover it for you - which is your incentive to tell us so we know! :)

For general reference, we think that one DVD is unlikely to attract duty, but 3 or 4 is more likely. Most customs let small stuff through as the dollar or two they'll get isn't covered by the paperwork costs. If anyone can find out the exact break point for your country, and the duty rate on DVD's please let us know!

Thanks!

I appreciate your kind offer, Grant and will let you know if there's any customs issue, but I'm not going to stick you with the bill! And I'm really looking forward to watching the DVDs (I'm going to buy TWO of them now). :D

Grant Johnson 21 Jun 2010 22:13

With the release a few weeks ago of Gear Up!, all four of the original DVD series are now available! Which should mean we're done - but nope, we got carried away - as usual - and are finishing off #5 in the Series: Tire Changing!

It's in production phase now, and is now available for pre-order. It will be shipping by early August at the latest.

I think you'll love it, because it answers all your questions about tires, getting them off and fixing, and getting it back on!

The trailer will be up in a week - after the UK Travellers Meeting.

If you haven't got your Achievable Dream series, check it out - and if you have some but not all, now is the time to fill in the holes!

Order now at:

Thanks very much! :) We do try to improve - people that weren't in on the history and the true order will be a little confused in the future when they watch in numerical order and see the change out of order. :) If that makes any sense at all...

I'm especially please though that you feel you can watch them again and again - brilliant - that's what we were hoping for!

Looking forward to hearing your travel tales soon... :)

Grant Johnson 20 Jul 2010 22:51

ALL Five DVD's ARE now available! :D

And we're going to take a bit of a break from two years of living with DVD's 24/7! :scooter:

We hope you enjoy them!

Any comments, thoughts, suggestions etc please let us know. :)

Tire Changing DVD

Well the DVD Tire Changing is the 6th, of the Achievable Dream Series.

Another Great informative DVD this is the 'Odd 1 out' (for now lol),
all the other in the Achievable Dream series are packed jam full of a wide selection of info this one is just on tire changing, & does as it says on the dvd.
As a veteran rider of over 20 years, (still a novice to some hehe), I found this DVD to be to the same high quality and standard of production of the others.

The DVD it'self is superb with views hints tips how to do this 1 simple job change a tire, but in reality how many times have you changed a tire?

I would urge you all to go out and buy this DVD if nothing else, or why not buy the full set for birthday or Christmas.

thank you Grant & Susan another great DVD

for the record I have no connection with HU other than on the forum & Facebook.

Grant Johnson 21 Jul 2010 12:27

Thanks for that Selous! With this DVD indeed the 'odd one out' we've been wondering how it would be received, so it's great to hear you like it - that's one person anyway! :)

Selous 21 Jul 2010 13:42

Download from the net.

Hi
Have you thought about making it possible to download DVD,s directly from the net. It is more environmentally friendly. Also most travelers are not going to carry around DVD,s but most carry laptops or smart phones.
Just a thought.
Fantastic website.
Thanks
Nick

Grant Johnson 11 Mar 2013 21:26

Absolutely! We'd love to do that, unfortunately the "educate us" process and time required is out of reach at the moment! We have way too much else to do. :(

If someone REALLY knows all there is to know about this, contact us please!

Probably next winter without expert assistance.
