Share your Chai recipes/blends ????
Would anyone like to share their home blend recipe for Chai ????
Here in Australia it is not very common and can sometimes be difficult to come by. I am guessing that most countries have their own common blends and I am keen try mix ingredients and give them a go jeiger Looking forward to input from fellow HUBBers Glen |
Maasai Chai
In Kenya recently had Chai with some Maasai.
Apparently Chai is a Swahili word but in Kenya it doesn't normally contain any spices. It was 2 parts water to 1 part whole milk brought to the boil then 1 teaspoon of loose Kenyan tea leaves and 2 teaspoons of sugar per cup were added and the whole lot simmered for 5 minutes before straining into mugs. |
Thanks for the prompt reply
The commercial blend I have found here is funnily enough called "Mr Chai" traditional blend It has Cinnamon, Black Tea, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cadamom, Star Anise, Cloves, Bay Leaf & Black Pepper |
