Hola todos!
I already bought a moto en Santiago, and if you can give me an advices, apreciate & abrazos 1.what kind of documents do I need to cross the national border with my motorcycle? I have: Autorizacion de viaje (chile) Contrato de compraventa de vehiculo (chile) Rut number (chile) Certificado de inscripcion y Anotaciones vientes en el RVM (chile) Passport, NewZealand Dliving licence & international DL 2.I heard I have to bring the motorcycle back in 6 monthes. How can I extend it? 3.Is it possible to leave or sell the motorcycle in the other countries? What if the case of getting un-fixable problem with my motorcycle or case of stolen? thank you guys! |
The last guy who bought a bike in Chile and posted about it here and tried to cross a border out of the country wasnt able to do it. He eventually gave up and sold his bike. You can read his posting about it here: Danielmolloys posting from 6th June 2017 http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...tiago-45637-10
Its ALWAYS best to sell a vehicle where it is registred. And in south-America selling a vehicle in another country than its registrated in is at best semi-legal and involves a PODER and changing the name on the TIP. |
