Tools for trip documentation
 

Greetings all. I just got back from a Great Lakes tour and started to look at the ways to create a cool trip video that is both informative and entertaining. A few questions concerning this.

What are people using to create animated maps to show path, places worth seeing, etc on the road? I found a few doing google searches but they were fully web based and not downloadable - or very expensive monthly subscriptions. I would like to find a PC based program for this.

I found some phone apps that let you document your trip....any suggestions for the best ones - that can create editable content?

Has anyone found an app or program that can create a voice annotated travelogue? Click a picture and hear a short story.....this would be cool.

Any suggestions at all concerning this aspect of long rides most appreciated.
